Dark Room is a place where writers take center stage and their work
has a chance to grow. The Dark Room is an ongoing event held on the second
Tuesday of each month. </span>The Dark Room affords emerging and veteran playwrights the space and resources
to develop new works. It offers a venue to workshop plays, novels, poems, or
any other written work in a supportive, yet critical environment.</p>

<b><i>About the Featured Reading:</i></b> Could you choose between an unpredictable reality and reliable fantasy? A
haunting tale of isolation, <i>Broken Wings</i> tells a love story between an
elderly man with personal demons who must make such a choice and a
teenage girl with a lot on her mind. To compensate for his loneliness,
he retreats into his fantasies, imagining conversations between him and
an unknown woman he was in love with as a younger man. However, as he
and the young girl bond over literature, ornithology and life itself,
his subconscious fights back, not giving him a choice in the matter.
What can happen when you allow your imagination to take control of your
emotions?<br>
<br><b>Featuring </b>actors Robert Hawkes, Emily Pucell, Bryan Ritchey, Val Young, and John Busser.<br><b> <br>About the Playwright: </b>A
sometimes writer, Mr. Hoffman is usually seen onstage as an actor. He
has worked with various local Cleveland theaters, including
convergence-continuum, Ensemble, CSF, and Cleveland Public Theatre's
recent production of <i>Fever/Dream</i>. His short play<i> A Flock of Seagulls</i> was performed at Cleveland Heights Oddyfest and was part of CPT's 2009 Little Box Series. <i>Broken Wings</i> is Stuart's first full length play.<div class="im">

you are interested in being a featured writer at a future Dark Room,
please send a 20-30 page script along with a short bio, cast
requirements, descriptions of the characters and a synopsis of the
piece. Writers wishing to present during the open session portion of
Dark Room may submit shorter works, up to ten pages, in advance of the
event or bring them on the night of the event.Open session readings are first come, first serve until all slots have been allotted. All submissions should
