If THE IMPORTANCE OF BEING EARNEST’s Algernon Moncrieff lived today, what would his life be like? Our Algy is 40ish, cultured, charming, endlessly hungry and perpetually short of funds. He plays with Xenia on Saturday, Yvonne on Sunday and Zoe on Monday and Tuesday, and the ladies ultimately contribute to Algy’s evolution from a Peter Pan to a grownup man.<BR>

Their jobs are at risk and only their bartender and his angel have any hope of straightening things out. <BR>
