<h2 style="font-size:12pt; font-weight: bold; font-family:

by the Falls" lampoons Broadway's Spider-Man fiasco</h2>
<p style="font-size:10pt; font-weight:normal;font-family:
arial, sans-serif; color:#000000;" align="left"> CHAGRIN
FALLS, OH - Even those who don't pay attention to the
world of theater are, by now, well aware of the debacle
that is "Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark." With massive
delays, budget overruns, life-threatening injuries and
public ridicule, the collaboration between director Julie
Taymor and rock musicians U2 has earned an honored place
in the pantheon of Broadway bungles. It is also the
perfect fodder for Chagrin Valley Little Theatre's 26th
annual <em>Murder by the Falls</em> event, a
comedy/mystery event taking place on September 9th and
10th. </p>
<p style="font-size:10pt; font-weight:normal;font-family:
arial, sans-serif; color:#000000;" align="left">The
original script by CVLT regulars Amy Pelleg, Adam Young
and Don Bernardo, is entitled "Dead Again…and Again!". It
involves the fictional theatrical impresario Judy Tayless,
played by Jan Jones (former Cleveland TV personality and <em>Murder</em>
cast regular), who has brought her "fabulously expensive
and dangerous" superhero musical to the CVLT stage after
its Broadway flop, just to prove that it can be
successfully produced. Her ego and venom inspire everyone
at the CVLT to murderous intentions, and sure enough she
ends up being killed - repeatedly. As in previous years,
Inspector Gotcha and Detective Ketchum are on the case,
and audience members are asked to help figure out
"whodunit."</p>
<p style="font-size:10pt; font-weight:normal;font-family:
arial, sans-serif; color:#000000;" align="left">Chagrin
Valley Little Theatre's audience-participation mystery
fund raiser, produced with support from Gamekeeper's
Taverne, Hamlet Village, Vintage Wine Distributor, Evans
Printing and others, kicks off the Theatre's 82nd
consecutive season with intrigue and goofball humor. The
wildly popular event always begins with a pre-show hors
d’oeuvre reception with beer/wine cash bar, followed by
Act I, in which the mystery is unveiled. During
intermission, the audience searches Chagrin Falls Village
for clues hidden in store windows and interviews live
actors on the street. A catered dessert follows where
audience members, in teams of eight, make their
accusations on paper. The evening completes with the
revealing of the criminal's identity in Act II and prizes
being awarded to the winning team. Money raised from the
event helps with operating expenses as the theatre kicks
off its new season.</p>

arial, sans-serif; color:#000000;" align="left"><em>Murder
by the Falls</em> is known for its cameo appearances by
local VIPs. This year's show features Chagrin Falls Police
Chief James Brosius and Geauga County Sheriff Daniel
McClelland as themselves, plus Chagrin Falls Mayor Tom
Brick and South Russell Mayor Matthew Brett appearing as
legendary Marvel Comics creator Stan Lee.</p>
<p style="font-size:10pt; font-weight:normal;font-family:
arial, sans-serif; color:#000000;" align="left">Andrew
Rothman and Michelle Kaiser lead the proceedings once more
as the wise-cracking Inspector Gotcha and Detective
Ketchum, and are joined by Brian Diehl as the Chagrin
crime scene investigator, and Steve Pike as donut-munching
Officer Bookem. Coletta "Louie" West appears as the Stage
Manager of the fake superhero musical, wrangling Paula
Pike and Anna Gottfried as a 'stage mom' and her aspiring
actress daughter, Scott Zolkowski as the web-slinging
leading man, Brandon Hood as Marvel Comics' lawyer, Eric
Oswald as a disgruntled actor, and Jim Marzullo as a
"Heck's Angel" motorcyclist.</p>
