Renaissance Theatre, 138 Park Avenue West, Mansfield, Ohio, announces auditions
for their spring 2012 production of <b>Chicago.</b> Auditions are open to
performers age 16 and up and will be held at the theatre Thursday, November
17th from 6:30-9:00PM. <o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class=MsoNoSpacing><span style='font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Times New Roman","serif"'>Seeking
performers with very strong vocal, acting and dance skills. All roles are
available. Please prepare 32 bars of a musical theatre song and
bring sheet music in your key. An accompanist will be
provided. Callbacks will be held Friday, November 18<sup>th</sup> from
6:30-8:30 PM. This will be a dance call. Please come prepared to

they will be considered for casting. <b><u>About the show: </u></b>Set in the
1920s, <b><i>Chicago</i></b> is a scathing satire of how show business and the
media make celebrities out of criminals, and features Bob Fosse-inspired
choreography, showstopping production numbers and songs such as "<i>All
That Jazz," ''Cell Block Tango" and "Mr. Cellophane."</i>
On August 27<sup>th</sup>, 2011, it became the fourth longest running show in
Broadway history – and the longest running American musical of all time.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
