<p><br><strong>When:</strong> September 21 & 22 from 6:30-9 pm</p>
<p><strong>Callbacks:</strong> September 24 at 12:00 pm, by invitation only</p>
<p><strong>Where:</strong> Geauga Lyric Arts Center (106 Water St<br>Chardon, Ohio)</p>
<p><strong>Audition Requirements: </strong>Please prepare a 1-2 minute monologue for auditions. The monologue must be done in your best British accent, although the monologue itself does not have to be from an English show. <br>
<br>If interested in singing in the pre-show choir or as one of the scene transitioners, please also come prepared with a 1-2 minute a capella song, preferably a Christmas carol and in the style of the 1930's/40's. </p>
<p><strong>Cast: </strong></p>
<ul>
<li class="sidetext"><strong>Singers</strong>: Seeking 2-3 mature singers to transition various scenes with period Christmas songs. Will rely on these voices to set the mood of each scene. Singers may be on or offstage and may also be asked to appear onstage as a follower of Aslan or the White Witch; age is negotiable.
<li class="sidetext"><strong>Choir</strong>: Seeking a pre-show choir to sing period Christmas songs before the show and at intermission; all ages.
<li class="sidetext"><strong>Aslan</strong>: The Lion King of Narnia; noble, kind, brave; represents Christ; age is negotiable
<li class="sidetext"><strong>White Witch</strong>: Also known as Jadis, Queen of Narnia; malicious, conniving; represents evil; age negotiable
<li class="sidetext"><strong>Lucy Pevensie:</strong> The youngest of the Pevensies; curious, optimistic; later becomes known as Queen Lucy the Valiant; age: 7-11
<li class="sidetext"><strong>Edmund Pevensie:</strong> The second youngest of the Pevensie; bratty, skeptical, greedy at first, then makes the transition to noble and brave; becomes known as King Edmund the Just; age: 8-12
<li class="sidetext"><strong>Susan Pevensie:</strong>The second oldest of the Pevensies; pretty, sensitive, kind; becomes known as Queen Susan the Gentle; age: 14-18
<li class="sidetext"><strong>Peter Pevensie: </strong>The oldest of the Pevensies; brave, noble, protective of his siblings; becomes known as King Peter the Magnificent; age: 15-19
<li class="sidetext"><strong>Mr. Tumnus:</strong> A faun; sensitive if not a bit a skittish; befriends Lucy; age is negotiable
<li class="sidetext"><strong>Mr. Beaver:</strong> Comedic, good natured; age: 40 or older
<li class="sidetext"><strong>Mrs. Beaver:</strong> Comedic, good natured; age: 30 or older
<li class="sidetext"><strong>Fenris Ulf: </strong>A wolf; captain of the Witch's Secret Police; age is negotiable

<li class="sidetext"><strong>Professor Kirke & Father Christmas: </strong>An eccentric professor in the "normal world," Father Christmas in Narnia; two separate parts; age: 40 or older

<p class="sidetext"><strong>Rehearsal Information:</strong> There will be a read-through on October 7, and rehearsals will start officially October 24. The 4 Pevensie children may be asked to come in prior to the 24th. Costumes will be stylized. The animals of Narnia will be dressed in Victorian clothing with headpieces representing their animals. The 4 children are WWII evacuees as they are in the book. </p>
