<br style="font-family: tahoma,sans-serif;"><span style="font-family: tahoma,sans-serif;">First, a little background. <b>Jim Caruso’s Cast Party</b> is a wildly popular weekly soiree bringing a sprinkling of Broadway glitz and urbane wit to the legendary Birdland in New York City every Monday night. <b>Cast Party</b> is a cool cabaret and Broadway musical night-out enlivened by a hilariously impromptu variety show. Showbiz superstars hit the stage alongside up-and-comers, serving up jaw-dropping music and general razzle-dazzle, with each performer singing or playing just one number. For the past eight years, <b>Cast Party</b> has been the ultimate spot to mix and mingle with Manhattan show folk and their fans. Caruso guides the entire affair like a bubbly cruise director and the audience is invited to participate in the festivities! It’s the party that would happen if somehow David Letterman and Ed Sullivan threw a hip house party around the nine-foot concert grand piano! And now, Caruso is bringing <b>Cast Party</b> to Cleveland to see what kind of musical talent we have here. </span><br style="font-family: tahoma,sans-serif;">

However, when it comes to Cleveland, we're going to do it a little different. We'll still have some open mic slots on October 20, but the vast majority of slots are going to be filled by <b><span style="color: rgb(153, 0, 0);">Casting Call for Cast Party</span></b>, which will take place at 7 p.m. Monday, October 17 at Nighttown. It's an open casting call for singers, comedians and novelty actors of any all kinds to fill slots for the October 20, <b>Cast Party </b>event. Cleveland directors Vicky Bussert and Martin Friedman and Nighttown's own Brendan Ring will make the final selections for the show on Thursday, October 20. </span><br style="font-family: tahoma,sans-serif;">
