Workshop Series</FONT></DIV>

<DIV><FONT size=3 face=Calibri>The workshop is free and open to the
public. It will be held in Room WSS G4B on the Ground Floor of the
Atrium where the Student Services such as the cafeteria and bookstore are
located. </FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT size=3 face=Calibri>Each lecture or workshop in the series gives
insight into the context of the ancient Sumerian Epic of Gilgamesh. Chipps
is conducting a workshop that focuses on timing, rhythm, and pace as essential
communication tools. The workshop is interactive but does not require any
prior movement or theater experience. </FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT size=3 face=Calibri></FONT> </DIV>
<DIV><FONT size=3 face=Calibri>The lecture series is part of Tri-C's Project
Gilgamesh, which explores the Epic of Gilgamesh from a variety of perspectives,
both in the classroom and through the vehicle of the performing arts.
Contemporary composer and violinist Daniel Bernard Roumain is the project's lead
artist and will be creating a songbook for the project. Project Gilgamesh
is being conducted at Tri-C under the auspices of a "Creative Campus Innovations
Grant." </FONT><FONT size=3 face=Calibri>Tri-C is one of six
recipients of the prestigious national grant, sponsored by the Association for
Performing Arts Presenters and funded by the Doris Duke Charitable Foundation,
with additional support from the Ohio Arts Council. </FONT></DIV>
