Just wanted to warn all of you about a scam going on. <BR>

I received an e-mail three weeks ago from someone claiming to be Kate Bailey (nailtek2006@yahoo.com). (She?) was interested in booking us for a birthday party show, at her home in Philadelphia, PA. She claimed to have found us through (<A onmousedown='UntrustedLink.bootstrap($(this), "4AQE9ibaFAQEYnnf2undroaNNZBQPndvjAwUAlo3mGudwfA", event, bagof({}));' href="http://www.faires.com/" target=_blank rel="nofollow nofollow"><FONT color=#3b5998>www.faires.com</FONT></A>), the directory of renaissance festivals and performers. I <SPAN class=text_exposed_show>worked up and sent a contract, via e-mail, as she was currently in South Carolina. </SPAN><BR>

<SPAN class=text_exposed_show>This morning, I received via FedEx, the deposit check, written from a Minnesota based construction company, mailed from California, for a show in Philadelphia, from a woman in South Carolina. Oh...the check was written in the amount of $3,130.00...nice, but not likely! I notified the police, the construction company and the credit union that the check was written through. Sure enough, it was a scam. Do they really think that performers are idiots? Performers beware!</SPAN><BR><BR><BR>
