over downtown. Which reminded me that while most of us are familiar with
the film “<a href="http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0115685/" target="_blank"><em>The Birdcage</em></a>,” starring <strong>Robin Williams</strong> and <strong>Nathan Lane</strong>, most of us don’t know that <em>La Cage</em> has had a very long life. The original 1973 play, a 1978 film, the 1983 Broadway musical (written by <strong>Harvey Fierstein</strong>,)
the 1996 movie (based on the 1978 film), the musical’s London revival, a
2004 Broadway revival, a 2008 London revival, a 2010 Broadway revival
(winner of three Tony Awards®) and now the first National Tour has
arrived in Cleveland!
