More than 150 performers representing LCCC students and community musicians from 16 different communities will perform under the direction of conductor and Director of Choral Music Performance, Nancy L. Davis. <o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal style='text-indent:.5in'><span style='font-size:8.0pt'><o:p> </o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-size:11.0pt'> The concert will begin with a performance of Saint-Saens’s “Christmas Oratorio” performed by the Civic Chorale and Civic Orchestra. The concert will also feature familiar holiday favorites and selections from Handel’s “MESSIAH,” including the ever-popular “Hallelujah” chorus performed by the Collegiate Chorale, Civic Chorale and the Civic Orchestra. <o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-size:11.0pt'><o:p> </o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-size:11.0pt'>A special feature of the concert will be the Renaissance Singers, who will appear in period costumes and perform 16<sup>th</sup> and 17<sup>th</sup> century a cappella madrigals, motets, and several newly composed choral works. Solid Brass,<i> </i>an all-brass ensemble, will delight the audience during the intermission with familiar holiday music in the Stocker Arts Center lobby.<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-size:8.0pt'><o:p> </o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-size:11.0pt'> Tickets for the concert are $7 each.
