is set in the home of the Mundy family, two miles outside the village of
Ballybeg, County Donegal, Ireland, in August 1936. In Celtic folklore, Lughnasa
is an annual harvest festival marking the end of the summer growing season and
the start of the fall harvest. In this Tony Award-winning drama by Brian Friel,
the festival is in full swing as we meet the five unmarried Mundy sisters of
County Donegal, who dancing and laughing through their tears embrace a life
filled with equal amounts of happiness and heartbreak.</SPAN><B><SPAN
