<div style="RIGHT: auto" class=yiv1919461518MsoNormal>The Cleveland Shakespeare Festival, <SPAN id=yiv1919461518lw_1307977711_0 class=yiv1919461518yshortcuts>Cleveland</SPAN>’s only source for FREE, outdoor Shakespearean theater, proudly announces its 15<SUP>th </SUP>Season opening in June 2012. <SPAN> </SPAN>This season, CSF will be presenting <SPAN id=yiv1919461518lw_1307977711_1 class=yiv1919461518yshortcuts>William Shakespeare</SPAN>’s<I style="RIGHT: auto"> The Merchant of Venice</I>, directed by Brian Zoldessy, and <I style="RIGHT: auto">Henry VIII,</I> directed by David Hanson.</div>

<div style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 10pt; RIGHT: auto" class=MsoNormal><SPAN style="LINE-HEIGHT: 115%; FONT-FAMILY: 'Times New Roman','serif'; FONT-SIZE: 12pt">Brian Zoldessy (Director, <EM>The Merchant of Venice</EM>):<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>Since 1991, Brian has been professor and Director of the Theatre Arts Department at Cuyahoga Community College.<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>As a professional actor, Brian has worked in New York, L.A., Chicago, and Cleveland (Times Tribute Awards for Outstanding Performances and Direction), and has appeared on Broadway, Off-Broadway, in television, and in films.<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>A winner of two Kennedy Center’s Irene Ryan Acting and Directing Awards, he has directed and produced over 60 award winning productions.<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>Brian has also served as theatre faculty for both the Special Studies Program at the Chautauqua
Institution, the Beck Center Conservatory program and the Fairmount Performing Arts Conservatory.<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>Last year Ohio Magazine and Crain’s Business Cleveland named Brian one of Ohio’s top educators of Theatre.<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>Brian is a published poet and is the author of <U>The Theatre Appreciation Workbook: Exercises and Activities</U>.<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>He was one of the original directors for The Cleveland Shakespeare Festival (1998-2003).<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /><o:p></o:p></SPAN></div>

<div style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 10pt; RIGHT: auto" class=MsoNormal><SPAN style="LINE-HEIGHT: 115%; FONT-FAMILY: 'Times New Roman','serif'; FONT-SIZE: 12pt">David Hansen (Director, <EM>Henry VIII</EM>) is the Associate Residency Supervisor for Great Lakes Theater Festival’s Education Department and a member of the Cleveland Play House Playwrights Unit.<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>David is a 2010 Creative Workforce Fellow, a program of the Community Partnership for Arts and Culture, generously funded by Cuyahoga Arts and Culture.<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>David was a co-founder of Guerrilla Theater Company, founded Dobama’s Night Kitchen, and was Artistic Director for Bad Epitaph Theater Company.<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>David has directed numerous plays at such theaters as The Beck Center, Bad Epitaph, Dobama’s Night Kitchen, and Guerrilla Theater Company.<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes">
</SPAN>As an actor, David has performed such Shakespearean roles as the Ghost in <U>Hamlet</U> (Bad Epitaph), Prince Escalus in <U>Romeo and Juliet</U> (Guerrilla Theater), Pistol in <U>The Merry Wives of Windsor</U> and Adrian in <U>The Tempest</U> (Great Lakes Theater), and at Cleveland Shakespeare Festival as Bardolph in <U>Henry IV</U>. <SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>He was also in <U>The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged) </U>at Beck Center.<o:p></o:p></SPAN></div>
