the roles of the <b>“drei Knaben” </b>in AF’s upcoming production of</span><span style="font-family:Times"></span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom:12.0pt;text-autospace:none"><b><i><span style="font-size:15.0pt;font-family:Calibri">The
“drei Knaben” (three boys) may be played by boys or girls, but should
preferably be under 5 ft tall.</span></i></b><span style="font-family:Times"></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom:12.0pt;text-autospace:none"><span style="font-size:15.0pt;font-family:Calibri">Three students will be chosen to play these roles
in scenes involving movement, but no singing. These students will work closely
with AF’s two professional dancers (period specialists) who will perform
together with the students in several scenes. This includes the opening
“dragon” scene, the dance of the enchanted animals, and various other scenes
involving action but no singing.</span><span style="font-family:Times"></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom:12.0pt;text-autospace:none"><span style="font-size:15.0pt;font-family:Calibri">Extensive dance training is NOT necessary, but
basic dance/movement experience on stage is required.</span><span style="font-family:Times"></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom:12.0pt;text-autospace:none"><b><span style="font-size:16.0pt;font-family:Calibri">Performances are March 22-‐25, </span></b><span style="font-size:15.0pt;font-family:Calibri">at
Severance Hall, Oberlin College, Kent State University, and the Cleveland
Museum of Art.</span><span style="font-family:Times"></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom:12.0pt;text-autospace:none"><span style="font-size:15.0pt;font-family:Calibri">In addition, three young singers will be chosen
to play the Knaben in scenes that involve <b>singing </b>but no dancing.
Students auditioning for the movement roles may also audition for the singing
roles if they wish. It is possible to do both in the performances, but the time
commitment for rehearsals is greater.</span><span style="font-family:Times"></span></p>
