Set in late 19th century Germany this story explores the angst, confusion and sexual tension of adolescence in a powerful way. <em>Spring Awakening</em> doesn't shy away from any subject including incest, abortion, teen pregnancy, suicide, child abuse, homosexuality, and religion.
