Jones! Welcome to the Mind of Calpurnia T. Jones <span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: rgb(51, 51, 51); font-family: Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 13px; line-height: 20px; ">is a short film loosely inspired by the writer/director's aunt's experience with online dating, Fassbinder's "Ali: Fear Eats the Soul" and "An Unmarried Woman." Calpurnia Jones, is 54 years old. Her husband of thirty years, Max unexpectedly left her and moved in with a Jimmy John's delivery girl. Newly alone, Calpurnia decides to start her life completely over, first by removing the
oppressive weave her husband convinced her to have sewn in in 1984, then by joining an online dating site. After being subjected to various weirdoes who prowl the internet searching for love, Callie finally meets an interesting man, but he's not exactly who he claims to be. The film is an exploration of one woman's search for identity and the perils of online dating.</span></div><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="border-collapse: collapse; color: rgb(34, 34, 34); font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 13px; "><br></span></div><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="border-collapse: collapse; color: rgb(34, 34, 34); font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 13px; ">Because of our lack of budget, this is a passion project and the acting will be on a pro-bono basis. Of course, food will be provided on-set and anyone acting will be allowed to use footage for their reel. Filming will take place in the Canton area in March. We will gladly send

She is the founder of a small environmental consultant agency. She works in advertising. Maura has a spit-fire personality and has been married four times. class="Apple-style-span" style="line-height: 20px;"><b>Tina Brooks</b> is in her early-mid 50s. She is Black and has natural hair. She is a vegan and lives with her partner of thirty years, Karin. Tina owns an art gallery and is frequently the voice of reason in their group of friends.</span></font></div><div><font class="Apple-style-span" color="#333333" face="Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif" size="2"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="line-height: 20px;"><b>Sam</b> is twenty years old. He is a junior in college, studying psychology (even though he'd much rather be studying English). Sam is a hopeless romantic. He creates a profile on a dating site so that he can view his friend's profile but winds up talking falling in love with a woman who thinks he is someone else.</span></font></div><div><font class="Apple-style-span" color="#333333" face="Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif" size="2"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="line-height:
20px;"><b>"Quentin"</b> is played by the same actor as Sam. He is Sam's online persona and sports a fake beard and eyepatch. </span></font></div><div><font class="Apple-style-span" color="#333333" face="Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif" size="2"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="line-height: 20px;"><b>Luc </b>is a twenty year old musician. He has dark hair and a scraggly beard. She is a free spirited artist.
