<html><body><div style="color:#000; background-color:#fff; font-family:times new roman, new york, times, serif;font-size:18pt"><div> <span style="font-weight: bold;">“A Light In the Darkness”</span><br style="font-weight: bold;"><span style="font-weight: bold;"> Holocaust DVD released</span><br><br> J&B Production Arts Services has announced the release of the DVD of <span style="font-weight: bold; font-style: italic;">A Light In the Darkness: A Story of Hope During the Holocaust</span>. The world premier of this play took place in October of 2011 at the
Victorian Players in Youngstown, Ohio. It ran for three record breaking weekends at the theater with six of the ten performances being totally sold out. <span style="font-style: italic;">“Unfortunately, we had to turn people away several times due to the sell-outs, but the release of the DVD will give those people a chance to see it,”</span> said J.E.Ballantyne, Jr., Managing Director of the Victorian and writer of the play. The subject of the play, Eva Schloss, was in attendance for the first two weeks of the run. Mrs. Schloss is Anne Frank’s step-sister and she spoke following each of the performances. Ballantyne said that the DVD is loaded with Bonus Material. Not only does it contain Eva speaking following a performance but it also contains the opening night reception that was held at the DeYor Performing Arts Center, where dignitaries as well as Eva and cast members are interviewed. Another
bonus feature is an Actors Roundtable where the cast and Eva speak at length about the play and the world premier. <br><br> <span style="font-style: italic;">“This DVD holds a wealth of educational opportunities,”</span> Ballantyne went on to say. <span style="font-style: italic;">“Every school, especially those schools that teach the Holocaust, should have this DVD on hand for their teachers to use and their students to view.”</span> With relatively few Holocaust survivors still living, this DVD is an opportunity to not only touch the history of the Holocaust but to touch history with someone who knew Anne Frank and her family intimately. <br><br> Copies of the DVD are available for $25.00 and are available by calling J&B Production Arts Services at 330-799-6176 or by email at jandbproductionarts@juno.com; jandbproductionarts@yahoo.com or jandbproductionarts@mail.com.
