auditions for <i>HAIRSPRAY</i> </h3>
<p style="font-size: 12px; font-family: georgia,serif;
color:#000;">Based on the 1988 John Waters film, and punched by
Marc Shaiman's score, Scott Wittman's lyrics and a book by Mark
O'Donnell and Thomas Meehan, this multi-Tony winning musical is
the story of a chubby, spunky girl who brings about the racial
integration of Baltimore's favorite 60's teen dance TV show.</p>

color:#000;">Please come prepared with your best audition song
that shows off your vocal range and personality. You must bring
sheet music in the correct key.<br>

Come prepared to dance - if you are not a dancer, you will still
need to be able to move well. Please wear appropriate clothing
and shoes.<br>

Headshots and acting resumes welcome, but not required.<br>

production team has already cast a number of roles from the
primary round of auditions (March 11-13), but are still
seeking the following:</small><br>

sing - ages 30 and up - for ensemble...possible speaking
roles.</li>

color:#000;">African American singer/actor/dancers - ages 17 -
25 (we need 6-8 females and 6-8 males for Corny Collins show
dancers). <br>

<li style="font-size: 12px; font-family: georgia,serif;
color:#000;"> WILBUR TURNBLAD - Male, Caucasian, 40s‐50s,
Baritone. Tracy 's father. A working class inventor. Sweet,
goofy, childlike personality. Adores his family. Needs a thin,
funny character actor. </li>

color:#000;"> LINK LARKIN - Male, Caucasian, Tenor. Must play
high school age. Handsome, sexy, clean‐cut, goodhearted,
down‐to‐earth. The heartthrob of the local TV teen dance show.
Amber's boyfriend at first, but he soon falls for Tracy .
Strong pop singer and great mover. </li>

color:#000;"> SEAWEED J. STUBBS - Male, African‐American,
Tenor. Must play high school age. Cool, sexy, street smart,
goodhearted. Son of Motormouth Maybelle who becomes Penny’s
boyfriend. His dance lessons help Tracy get chosen for the
local TV teen dance show. Strong, soulful tenor pop singer and
great dancer. </li>

color:#000;"> MOTORMOUTH MAYBELLE - Female, African‐American,
40s‐50s, Alto. Seaweed and Little Inez’s mother. Queen of
Baltimore Soul, a radio DJ. Powerful and inspiring, with an
infectious, brassy personality. Large physique. Strong,
soulful gospel/pop singer. </li>
<li style="font-size: 12px; font-family: georgia,serif;
color:#000;"> LITTLE INEZ - Female, African‐American, teens,
Mezzo. Spunky, tough, streetwise, outgoing, older than her
years. Seaweed's lovable little sister. Strong Broadway/pop
singer and dancer. </li>
<li style="font-size: 12px; font-family: georgia,serif;
color:#000;"> THE DYNAMITES - 3 sexy African‐American female
singer/dancers inspired by the Supremes. Should have glorious
pop/gospel singing voices. Should move well. They are featured
in the showstopper "Welcome to the '60s". </li>
