27 languages. <i style="mso-bidi-font-style: normal;">On Golden </i>Pond is a</span><span class="text"><span style='font-family: "Arial","sans-serif"; mso-bidi-font-weight: bold;'> touching, warm and witty comedy that takes plan over one summer and </span></span><span style='font-family: "Arial","sans-serif";'>explores the often turbulent
relationship a young woman shared with her father growing up, and the
difficulties of an aging couple <span class="text"><span style="mso-bidi-font-weight: bold;">facing what might be their final visit to the cottage they've cherished
for nearly 50 years. Norman is irascible and preoccupied with dying and a
failing memory while Ethyl is firmly grounded and long suffering. Their idyllic
surroundings are interrupted by a visit from their estranged daughter, her
fiancé and his teenage son, who is dropped off for the summer. The old man and
the kid grudgingly move toward a trusted camaraderie. Through this relationship
Norman learns, belatedly, how to be a father to his daughter. As the summer
wanes there are a couple crises that brings everyone to the realization that
life is a precious thing and to a happy, but tear-jerking ending.</span></span></span></font></div>
