<DIV><SPAN id=yiv1550204077lw_1321228452_0 class=yiv1550204077yshortcuts>Brecksville</SPAN> Theater On The Square will continue its 38th season with a staged reading of the powerful drama <EM>The Laramie Project.</EM></DIV>
<DIV><EM> </EM></DIV>
<DIV>Written by Moises Kaufman and members of the Tectonic Theater Project, this is the story of Matthew Shepard, a twenty-one year old student at the University of Wyoming who, in 1998, was kidnapped, severely beaten and left to die, tied to a fence outside of Laramie, Wyoming...because he was gay. The authors of this play spent a year and a half monitoring the trial of his killers, and interviewing more than 200 people from the area. This heart-renching drama is the result of those interviews, creating a theatrical collage which explores the depths to which humanity can sink, as well as the heights of compassion that can be reached.</DIV>

<DIV>Directed by Robert Gibb, the production will run August 24th and 25th, 2012. Open auditions will be held <SPAN id=yiv1550204077lw_1321228452_4 class=yiv1550204077yshortcuts>Sunday, June 3rd at 2:00 and Monday, June 4th at 7:00</SPAN> at BTOTS' <SPAN id=yiv1550204077lw_1321228452_6 class=yiv1550204077yshortcuts>Blossom Hill</SPAN> facility on Oakes Road (please see website for directions). There are roles for 4 men and 4 women, and all parts are available. Registration for auditions will begin at 1:45 Sunday and 6:45 Monday, with auditions beginning promptly. Prospective cast members must be 18 years of age or older, and are asked to bring a headshot, theatrical resume and a full list of conflicts. Auditioners will be asked to read from the script. There will be no formal callbacks.</DIV>
