<h3>JULY 21: THE ROAR OF THE GREASEPAINT - THE SMELL OF THE CROWD</h3>
<p>Musical director Stephen A. Eva and director Don Edelman team
up for Leslie Bricusse and Anthony Newley's "The Roar of the
Greasepaint – The Smell of the Crowd" -
their fifth annual musical event. The full Chagrin Falls Studio
Orchestra performs on stage, with songs like "Who Can I Turn
To?" and "Feeling Good."</p>
<p>The show is a music-hall allegory that examines the British
class structure of the 1960's. "Sir" and "Cocky", who represent
the upper and lower classes, play a game with ever-changing
rules advantageous to "Sir". It is as up to date as ever and
relevant to the USA's 2-party structure. </p>
<p><strong>Audition Date: </strong>Saturday, July 21st - 2:00 PM<br>

<p><strong>Audition Details: </strong></p>
<p>Seeking adults of all ages, as well as young people ages 7 - 17
to play 'Urchins'. Come prepared to sing a song (Broadway
showtune styles). Bring sheet music. Headshots and acting
resumes are welcome but not required.</p>

<h3>August 4 & 11: GOD OF CARNAGE</h3>
<p>"Kids will be kids, but adults will be far worse."</p>
<p>In Yasmina Reza's Tony award winning comedy (translated by
Christopher Hampton), the parents of two 11-year-old boys meet
to discuss their sons' playground tussle, but after a few drinks
begin their own fighting! A film adaptation by Roman Polanski
appeared in 2011.</p>
<p>Directed by David Malinowski</p>
<p><strong>Audition Dates: </strong>Saturday, August 4 &
Saturday, August 11 between 12:00 - 4:00 PM<br>
Auditions to be held at 38 River Street, the red 'barn' building
immediately to the right of the main CVLT entrance. If you are
unavailable on either of the audition days, please contact CVLT
and the director will do his best to accommodate you.</p>
<p><strong>Needed:</strong><br>
2 Men and 2 Women, ages negotiable. This is a very intense, fast
paced and physical 90-minute one-act play. Needed are four
strong, conscientious and uninhibited actors to fill the below
roles. The rehearsal process will be very concentrated. </p>
<p>VERONICA NOVAK: A tightly wound art lover and sometimes writer.
The mother of Benjamin, the victim. <br>
MICHAEL NOVAK: An unflappable hardware store owner. The father
of Benjamin, the victim. <br>
ANNETTE RALEIGH: A financial planner with a delicate
constitution. The mother of Henry, the attacker. <br>
MICHAEL RALEIGH: A distracted, high-power attorney. The father
of Henry, the attacker.</p>
<p><strong>Show Dates: </strong> September 28 - October 20, 2012<br>

<p><strong>Audition Details: </strong></p>
<p>A 1-2 minute, memorized, contemporary monologue. Be prepared to
read from the script. Resume/Head shot (Requested).</p>

<h3>August 26 & 27: VERONICA'S ROOM</h3>
<p>Struck by Susan's strong resemblance to Veronica Brabissant,
the late daughter of the family for whom they work, the elderly
caretakers invite Susan and her date to visit Veronica's addled
sister who believes she is still alive. Before long, the young
couple are trapped in an unexpected situation that leads to a
dramatic ending.</p>
<p>Directed by Laurel Bryant</p>
<p><strong>Audition Date: </strong>Sunday August 26 and Monday
August 27th at 7pm<br>
Auditions and performances to be held at CVLT's River Street
Playhouse, 56 River Street (the white, 1-story building just
west of the main CVLT building).</p>

<p>Seeking 2 women (ages 20- 70) and 2 men (ages 20- 70).
