engage the crowd, build energy in the arena and keep the momentum and
flow of the game moving. He/She will work every home game, working the
crowd and participating in on-court promotions. He/She will also be
asked to coordinate and create skits, represent the team at community
events and be a real life brand extension of the Canton Charge.</font></div>
<div><font size="2"><strong><br></strong></font></div><div><font size="2"><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></font></div>
<ul><li><font size="1">Develop the character of the Canton Charge mascot.</font></li><li><font size="1">Strong focus on positive fan engagement.</font></li><li><font size="1">Perform at all home games at the Canton Memorial Civic Center.</font></li><li><font size="1">Actively train, plan, and prepare for game day presentation.</font></li><li><font size="1">Perform and/or provide support to all necessary community and
team appearances. This includes but is not limited to sponsors,
charities, media and private functions.</font></li><li><font size="1">Act as an entertainment support system to encourage fan engagement and build Charge brand.</font></li><li><font size="1">Responsible for mascot costume operations including creativity, care, cleaning, maintenance, etc.</font></li><li><font size="1">Perform all other duties as assigned.</font></li></ul>
<div><font size="2"><strong>Qualifications:</strong></font><br></div><font size="1"></font><ul><li><font size="1">General knowledge of Charge Basketball.</font></li><li><font size="1">Demonstrated knowledge and enthusiasm for the Canton Charge.</font></li><li><font size="1">Needs a Hands-On, Positive Energy and Outgoing attitude</font></li><li><font size="1">Must be able to lift 50 lbs.</font></li><li><font size="1">Must have reliable transportation to and from Canton Memorial Civic Center.</font></li><li><font size="1">Must be well organized and flexible to meet time, priority and workload demands.</font></li><li><font size="1">Ability to analyze and interpret common social expressions and clients’ needs or wants relating to the mascot.</font></li><li><font size="1">Strong communication skills with all levels within the organization.</font></li><li><font size="1">Ability to troubleshoot situations without delay and act
accordingly.</font></li><li><font size="1">Perform mascot duties in a manner deemed acceptable according to the Cleveland Cavalier’s standards.</font></li><li><font size="1">Must be available to work flexible hours including all home games, some nights, and some weekends.</font></li><li><font size="1">Fan friendly and outgoing individual.</font></li><li><font size="1">Works well with children and other staff members at many events.</font></li><li><font size="1">Good physical condition (athletic).</font></li><li><font size="1">Must be able to work in a costume.</font></li><li><font size="1">Some experience is preferred, but not required.</font></li><li><font size="1">Live entertainment background a plus (sports, speaking, theater, etc...)</font></li></ul><div><font size="2"><strong><br>
