<p class="MsoNormal">Adam Hoffman, a provider for Akron After School, is looking
for instructors for the Fall of<span style="">
</span>2012 and Spring 2013. The courses are Crazy Acting Games, which explores the
dramatic arts, and Wacky World Traveler, a multi-disciplinary class which
incorporates games, art, and storytelling to help encourage children to become
excited about world cultures. </p>

<p class="MsoNormal">Projects and areas of concentration for Wacky World Traveler
include:</p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Mask making/necklaces</p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Folk stories from around the world</p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Geography reinforcement </p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Games from different cultures</p>

<p class="MsoNormal">The curriculum is flexible, allowing instructors to share
areas of expertise with the students.</p>

<p class="MsoNormal">We are looking for energetic, creative individuals who are
capable of teaching diverse elementary school groups in the Akron Public School
System. This is a great position for education majors looking for hands on
teaching experience.<br></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><b>Dates</b><span style="font-weight: normal;">: Classes start
October 15<sup>th</sup> and end December 6<sup>th</sup>.<span style=""> </span>The spring session of 2013 starts
February 4<sup>th, </sup><span style=""> </span>and run
through March 28<sup>th</sup>.<span style="">
</span>Teachers don’t have to be available for both sessions but they do need
to be available for the full eight weeks of class.</span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><b>Hours</b><span style="font-weight: normal;">:<span style=""> </span>3:45-5:15 Monday, Wednesday, and
Thursday. 2:45-5:15 on Tuesday. Teachers can choose to work specific
days—Mondays and Wednesdays, for example.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><!--[if !supportEmptyParas]--> <!--[endif]--><o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><b>Compensation:</b><span style="font-weight: normal;"> $30
per class taught.<span style=""> </span>Tuesdays are
double class days.</span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><b>Location</b><span style="font-weight: normal;">:<span style=""> </span>Various elementary schools in the Akron
Public School system.</span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal">Instructors will be given lesson plans and an
orientation.<span style=""> </span>Instructors should be
professional, reliable, have their own transportation, and be able to handle
children in groups of 4-15. </p>
