Oviatt St in Hudson. All roles are available with interested crew and production team members (publicity, set, props, costumes, sound, lights, etc) also being sought. Auditions are open to all with no restrictions. Those auditioning will be asked to read from the script. With performances scheduled for November 2, 3, 9, 10, 16 & 17 the mystery, which currently holds the record for the longest running play in history, will be directed by Claudia Lillibridge. Roles are available for 5 men and 3 women.<o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal style='mso-margin-top-alt:auto;mso-margin-bottom-alt:auto'><i>The Mousetrap</i> opened in the <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/West_End_of_London" title="West End of London"><span style='color:windowtext;text-decoration:none'>West End of London</span></a> in 1952, and has been running continuously since then. It has the longest initial run of any play in history, with over 24,500 performances so far. It is the longest running show (of any type) of the modern era and has just celebrated it’s 60<sup>th</sup> anniversary with a production on every continent. The play had its origins in the real-life case of the death of a boy, <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dennis_O%27Neill_case" title="Dennis O'Neill case"><span style='color:windowtext;text-decoration:none'>Dennis O'Neill</span></a>, who died while in the <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Foster_care" title="Foster care"><span style='color:windowtext;text-decoration:none'>foster care</span></a> of a <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shropshire" title=Shropshire><span style='color:windowtext'>Shropshire</span></a> farmer and his wife in 1945, which was made into a radio play called “Three Blind Mice.” The story of “The Mousetrap” involves a group of strangers who are stranded at a boarding house during a snow storm, one of whom is a murderer. The suspects include the newly married couple who run the home, a spinster with a curious background, an architect who seems better equipped to be a chef, a retired army major, a strange little man who claims his car has just overturned in a snowdrift and a jurist who makes life miserable for everyone.
