Artists’ Open Studio! In 2008 ceramicist and new tenant to the building Gina
DeSantis began organizing two yearly events. A year later tenant Kathy Patton
of Cleveland Handmade brought the Last Minute Market to the building
solidifying the former factory as one of the biggest shopping and art
exhibition destinations in the Cleveland
area. This one-day event will showcase the work of over 30 resident artists and
20 visiting artists plus local vendors including the Sweet Spot Cleveland and
the Fired Up Taco Truck. </div>
<div id="yiv877285282yui_3_7_2_12_1350394579995_506" class="yiv877285282MsoNormal">The open studio exhibitions are held three times throughout
the year (The first Saturday of November and May and the Last Minute Market
held the Saturday before Christmas, December 15<sup>th</sup>). </div>
<div id="yiv877285282yui_3_7_2_12_1350394579995_521" class="yiv877285282MsoNormal">Get the jump on holiday shopping while supporting local
artists and businesses. The artists in the building represent a broad range of
media including (but not limited to) glass, ceramics, sculpture, fiber arts,
mixed media, painting and printmaking. </div>
<div id="yiv877285282yui_3_7_2_12_1350394579995_523" class="yiv877285282MsoNormal"><b>Building History: <span style=""> </span></b>The
Screw Factory Artist Studios are located within the Lake
Erie Building in Lakewood,
Ohio. This building was originally built as
The Templar Motor Car Factory. Artist studios were originally built on the
second floor over fifteen years ago however in the past four years more studios
were constructed bringing the artist count to over thirty. It’s a diverse
building both in regards to its artists and its repurposed space. </div>
<div id="yiv877285282yui_3_7_2_12_1350394579995_522" class="yiv877285282MsoNormal"><b>The Templar Motors Car Factory Display </b>will be open
as well. Lakewood, Ohio's
only Automobile Mfg. from 1917-24, The Templar Motors Car Factory Display is located on
the 3rd Floor of the Original
Templar Motors Car
Factory Building. The (8 Car)-Templar Motors Car Factory Display represents
the finest collection of historic Templar Motors Cars in the world, with less
than (40) cars remaining today of the original (6500) cars
produced!</div>
