Christmas and New Year's concerts return</h2>
<p style="font-size:10pt; font-weight:normal;font-family:
arial, sans-serif; color:#000000;" align="left">CHAGRIN
FALLS, OH - Following this weekend's close to the
near-capacity runs of <em>Joseph and the Amazing
Technicolor Dreamcoat</em> and <em>Wonder of the World</em>,
Chagrin Valley Little Theatre is already setting the stage
for its popular annual holiday concerts. This year's
offerings include the fifth "Wassail Christmas Concert"
from the Chagrin Falls Studio Orchestra on December 22 and
23, and the return of Pat Mazzarino and friends for the
New Year's Eve cabaret on December 31. Both the CFSO and
Mr. Mazzarino have proven hits in past years and are
expected to bring crowds once again.</p>
<p style="font-size:10pt; font-weight:normal;font-family:
arial, sans-serif; color:#000000;" align="left">The
Chagrin Falls Studio Orchestra, an ensemble of over thirty
musicians under the baton of Stephen A. Eva, will be
performing their family-friendly concert of holiday music
at 7 PM on Saturday, 12/22 and a matinee at 2 PM on Sunday
12/23. This year's concert features Scottish Gaelic singer
Frances Acar and others, as the orchestra explores Celtic
sounds including music from <em>The Lord of the Dance</em>.
The audience will be invited to sing along with popular
Christmas favorites, led by CVLT's own "singing angels",
Sophie Dennis, Ashleigh Nagy, Emily Mculley, Lilly
Saunders, Sophie Longo and Chloe Longo. The orchestra will
also pay tribute to our nation's troops with a special
video presentation, featuring greetings from soldiers in
the Chagrin area to the folks back home. Rounding out the
event will be operatic tenor Ryan Fitzpatrick's
performance of Caccini's passionate <em>Ave Maria.</em>
Tickets to this concert are available for $20, with a $5
discount for children and students with valid ID.</p>
<p style="font-size:10pt; font-weight:normal;font-family:
arial, sans-serif; color:#000000;" align="left">On New
Year's Eve, CVLT's own Pat Mazzarino returns with a
cabaret of music both familiar and perhaps less so from
the Broadway stage. Along with WKHR 91.5's "Satin Doll"
Bette Moss, and musical director D. Keith Stiver, Pat
welcomes an array of talented vocalists to the stage: CVLT
actress/singer and director Greta Rothman, leading man
Steven R. Tiderman, and special guests Lydian Devere-Yard
(a CVLT alum) and her husband, professional actor Todd
Yard. Mr. and Mrs. Yard will be traveling from Boston to
appear on this very special night. The evening's
entertainment begins at 8 PM on Monday, December 31, as
the troupe of performers presents songs from all decades
of Broadway, including songs from <em>Guys & Dolls,
Kiss Me Kate</em>, <em>West Side Story, Jekyll &
Hyde, 42nd Street</em>, <em>Chess</em>, <em>Ragtime, </em><em>The
Fantasticks</em>, and more. The show will also feature
Janet Leff and her annual tribute to the United States.
Following the light-hearted show, which should end around
10 PM (in time to go elsewhere for midnight if you wish),
audiences are invited to join in a champange toast with
light appetizers in the theatre's River Room upstairs.
Tickets to this event are $25.</p>
