<p style="margin:0px 0px 1em"><strong>What to prepare:</strong> Readings will be from the script. Prior preparation is not required. A link to audition sides will be provided at least a week before auditions for those who sign up. A headshot and resume is appreciated.  </p>
<p style="margin:0px 0px 1em"><strong>Performance Dates:</strong> August 23rd - September 7th. Shows will be Friday-Sunday. Friday & Saturday at 8pm. Sunday performances will be at 7pm. (Show will close on a Saturday night)</p>
<p style="margin:0px 0px 1em"><strong>Rehearsals:</strong> Will begin July 22nd and will be Sunday-Thursdays. Rehearsal schedule may change due to conflicts/availability of the two actors cast.</p><p style="margin:0px 0px 1em">
<strong>Pay:</strong> Blank Canvas Theatre dedicates 20% of the net profit to the cast of each show. The cast splits this evenly. Each actor would receive 10% of any net profit.</p><p style="margin:0px 0px 1em"><b>* There are no Equity contracts for this show.</b></p>

  <h2>The Story</h2><p style="margin:0px 0px 1em">A New Kind of Romance – A man and woman loudly complete their passionate love making in a dark bedroom. Next they turn on the lights, get dressed, and begin the slow process of getting to know one another. Terence McNally’s two-time Broadway hit is as frank as it is funny, showing two people navigating the insecurities of modern romance over a single night. Their journey is both as timely as a tweet and as timeless as a full moon spilling through the window. Finally its glow will warm your heart.</p>
<p style="margin:0px 0px 1em"> </p><h2>Character Breakdown    </h2><p style="margin:0px 0px 1em">* Both roles may require partial nudity.</p><p style="margin:0px 0px 1em"><strong>FRANKIE (30's-50's):</strong> Striking but not conventional good looks. She has a sense of humor and a fairly tough exterior. She is also frightened and can be very hard to reach.</p>
