of Classical Chinese Music and Poetry</span>," will feature festive pieces in honor of the Chinese New Year, as well as evocative solo and ensemble pieces, played on instruments including <span style="font-style: italic;">dizi</span> and <span style="font-style: italic;">xiao</span> (bamboo flutes), <span style="font-style: italic;">sheng </span>(mouth organ), <span style="font-style: italic;">guan</span> (oboe), <span style="font-style: italic;">erhu</span> and <span style="font-style: italic;">yehu </span>(fiddles), <span style="font-style: italic;">pipa</span> (pear-shaped lute), <span style="font-style: italic;">guzheng</span> (zither), gongs, drums, and other percussion instruments. The ensemble will be joined for several selections by vocalist Min Li (李敏), a graduate of the Wuhan Conservatory of Music in Hubei, China.</font></div><div style="font-size: 10pt;"><font
size="2"><br></font></div><div style="font-size: 10pt;"><font size="2">Interspersed between the pieces will be readings of classical Chinese poems (in both Chinese and English), and performances of Chinese martial arts (taiji sword and Seven Star Praying Mantis-style wushu) by Shifu Gary Harris of the Center for Body-Mind Harmony of Tallmadge, Ohio, with live musical accompaniment.</font></div><div style="font-size: 10pt;"><font size="2"><br></font></div><div style="font-size: 10pt;"><font size="2">The program will also feature a rare performance of "Subtle Fragrance" (An Xiang, 暗香) a poetic song composed over 800 years ago by the Southern Song Dynasty composer Jiang Kui (姜夔).</font></div><div style="font-size: 10pt;"><font size="2"><br></font></div><div style="font-size: 10pt;"><font size="2">Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and the performance starts at 7:00 p.m.</font></div><div style="font-size: 10pt;"><font size="2"><br></font></div><div
