Tickets may be purchased from the box office from 12-6 p. m., Monday through Friday.<o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal><o:p> </o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal>The concert will feature two monumental masterpieces by two of the most acclaimed composers in music history. <o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal><o:p> </o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal>The curtain will rise on Johannes Brahms’ “Double Concerto for Violin & Cello, Op. 102.” This was the final orchestral work that Brahms composed. Andréa Belding who has captivated the Civic Orchestra audience with her performances of the Mendelssohn and Tchaikovsky violin concertos is returning to the Stocker Arts Center stage as the violin soloist. Belding has hand-picked an emerging artist, Tara Hanish, to be the cello soloist. The two women will fuse their stunning technique and enlightened vision of Romantic expression into one stunning performance.<o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal><o:p> </o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal>Under the capable baton of LCCC Civic Orchestra music director, Robert Beckstrom, the program will conclude with Ludwig van Beethoven’s “Symphony No. 7 in A major, Op. 92.” Completed more than two centuries ago in April 1812, this piece was a hit from the beginning.
