and an unemployed man - meet by chance aboard the San Francisco
BART train, each working on the New York Times crossword. When
the free-spirited man tosses away his uncompleted puzzle, the
organized and sensible woman challenges him to finish it. Thus
begins a long, witty, and often poignant conversation in which
the two help to solve each others' puzzles both on the paper and
in their lives.</p>
