</span>Based on the novel by Amanda Brown and the 2001
film, Legally Blonde is the story of Elle Woods, an
attractive sorority girl who heads to Harvard Law to win
back her boyfriend, but soon discovers how her law
education gives her the power to help others. With music
and lyrics by Laurence O'Keefe and Nell Benjamin and
book by Heather Hach, this popular musical comedy was
nominated for multiple Tony and Drama Desk awards.</p>

<p style="font-size:12px"><strong>Audition Details: </strong></p>
<p style="font-size:12px">**All roles are available.**</p>
<p style="font-size:12px">Ages listed are "stage ages" -
younger cast must be able to 'play' post-graduate
school. Elle will have to be blonde by showtime. The
ONLY role which will be cast specific to type is Brooke,
who has made a fortune by selling exercise videos and
therefore must be in appropriate physical shape.</p>
<p style="font-size:12px"> Prepare 16 bars uptempo/16 bars
ballad, preferably in the style of the show, but not <em>from</em>
the show. Please bring your own sheet music in the
correct key - no acappella auditions.</p>
<p style="font-size:12px">Dance and script reading will be
done at call backs.</p>
<p style="font-size:12px">Headshots and acting resumes are
welcome but not required. </p>

<li>ELLE WOODS -- The quintessential Valley Girl who
follows her ex - boyfriend to Harvard Law School and
realizes that she has more to offer than just a pretty
face and a bubbly personality. Lead role. Must be a
strong singer, actress and dancer. Female, 18 - 25. </li>
<li>EMMETT FORREST -- A smart and sensitive law student
who takes Elle under his wing. He is charming, quirky,
loveable, and friendly. Male, 2 0 - 25 yrs. old. Lead
role. Must be good actor and singer. </li>
<li>PAULETTE -- A brash, caring, optimistic hair stylist
who is friends with Elle and longs to find a man for
herself. Female, 35 - 45 yrs. old. Lead role. Must be
a strong singer. </li>
<li>BROOKE WYNDAM -- An exercise video mogul who is also
a former sorority girl. She is energetic and
charismatic, yet currently on trial for murder.
Female, 25 - 35 yrs. old. Featured role. Must be in
exceptional physical shape and a strong singer. </li>
<li>PROFESSOR CALLAHAN -- A pomp ous, sleazy and
manipulative law professor at Harvard who is highly
successful, but completely immoral. Male, 45 - 55 yrs.
old. Featured role. Must sing.</li>
<li> VIVIENNE KENSINGTON -- A smart, savvy, and really
uptight law student and Warner's fiancée who initia
lly dismisses Elle, but grows to be her friend.
Female, 20 - 25 yrs. old. Featured role. Must sing. </li>
<li>WARNER HUNTINGTON III -- A good - looking but
shallow and pompous guy who breaks Elle's heart and
heads off to Harvard Law. Male, 20 - 25 yrs. old.
Featured role. Must sing. </li>
<li>MALE AND FEMALE ENSEMBLE: Pilar, Serena, Margot,
Kyle (the handsome and physically impressive UPS man),
Enid, Carlos, Nikos, Kate/Chutney, Greek Chorus,
students and all other roles will be cast out of the
ensemble. Need strong performers who are not afraid to
dance, sing and have fun. Ages 18 – 27 with a few
roles for older performers.</li>

8th and 9th at 7pm, with call backs May 13th</strong></span></p>
<p style="font-size:12px">CVLT began the biennial <em>10-10
Festival</em> in 2009, putting out the call for short
plays to be performed at its River Street Playhouse, the
smaller venue adjacent to the main theater building. Ten
plays would be chosen, each lasting roughly ten minutes.
The first <em>10-10</em> that July was a resounding
success, receiving submissions from all over Northeast
Ohio and beyond. The second edition was equally a hit.
Now <em>The 10-10</em> is back for its third edition,
with 10 new short plays:</p>

male and female actors ages 20s through 80s! Everyone
will likely be cast in more than one piece. Rehearsals
will begin May 13 or May 14 and will be held Sunday
through Thursday evenings, but actors will only be
scheduled to rehearse on nights when their piece or
pieces are rehearsed. Please bring a list of all
conflicts to the audition.</p>
<p style="font-size:12px">We will read from the scripts.
Headshots and acting resumes are welcome but not
required. </p>
