to take part in the easy jitterbug lesson from 8pm to 9pm. We always
review the basic Jitterbug step, talk about the basics of leading and
following, and then show a few new moves. Each lesson is unique and you
will always pick up new moves and hints each time you attend a
pre-dance lesson at a Get Hep Swing event. These lessons are
appropriate for brand new dancers all the way up to advanced dancers.
You will not be disappointed!<br> <br> The Madison Crawl plays from 9-12. They are r<span class="text_exposed_show">ecognized
as Cleveland's Barrelhouse Boogie Kings, The Madison Crawl revives the
raw, earthy, swingin' sounds of boogie blues, and recreates an
atmosphere reminiscent of the clubs, dance halls and juke joints of the
1930s, 40s and 50s. Founded in 2003 by bassist Chris Stovicek, this
young band has spent the last couple of years honing their chops in
clubs, halls and ballrooms around Cleveland, Ohio. The Madison Crawl has
developed a reputation for their jumpin rhythms, wailing jives, hip
charm and retro style. Whether appearing in a pavilion arena, a concert
hall or a corner pub these journeymen of jump deliver with reverent
authenticity... the purity, simplicity and gritty soulfulness of the
boogie woogie and swing traditions. The Madison Crawl's infectious
beats, tremendous showmanship and dynamic solos bring to life the
irrepressible music of such hallowed greats as T-Bone Walker, Louis
Jordan, Howlin Wolf, Screamin Jay Hawkins, John Lee Hooker, Muddy

Everyone is welcome to come and have fun with us at this swing dance.
There is no need to have previous dance experience or a dance partner.
You are welcome to join us just to enjoy the music. These events are
fun even if you don't dance. <br> <br> No need to make reservations or
buy tickets in advance. The event is $12 per person. No need to RSVP.
Just show up and have fun! We have lots and lots of room for you and
all of your friends!<br> <br> The Waterloo Ballroom at the Slovenian
Workman's Home is located in the very artsy and lively Collinwood
neighborhood. The address is 15335 Waterloo Rd, Cleveland, Ohio 44110.<br> <br>
The Slovenian not only has a beautiful ballroom; they also have a well
stocked bar. They have alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks of all kinds
for sale--including a very special Slovenian beer- Lasko!<br> <br> There
are TWO parking lots to the right of the ballroom and there is also
some street parking as well. However, if you can carpool with friends
that would be recommended. We also have a security guard who keeps an
