Dark Room is a place where writers take center stage and their work

has a chance to grow. The Dark Room is an ongoing event held on the second

Tuesday of each month. </span>The Dark Room affords emerging and veteran playwrights the space and resources

to develop new works. It offers a venue to workshop plays, novels, poems, or

any other written work in a supportive, yet critical environment.</font></p>

limited). Writers can bring up to 10 pages of work to be read; actors 

will be cast on the spot!<br><b>7:30pm:</b> Featured Reading of <i>Kiss Kiss Bang Bang</i> by Stuart Hoffman<br></font></div><font><b>8:30pm:</b> Open Mic Session readings begin <br><br></font><div><font><b>About the Featured Reading: </b>Meet Sean and Jean. They both love movies. 

Sean adores slashers of the 1980s while Jean prefers the classics of the

 1940s. They love them so much they will tear to shreds anybody who 

dares cross paths with their opinions. However, when their arrogant 

belligerence puts their jobs at risk, they must turn to the last person 

they would ever think of for help: each other. What follows is a silly 

romantic comedy for the movie geek in all of us. Rated PG-13 (For mild 

language, brief sensual situations, and an off-color deaf joke.)</font></div>

</div>About the Playwright: Stuart Hoffman is a local actor/playwright/baker. He was most recently seen in Mamai Theater's inaugural production of Medea.

 He has also been seen onstage at convergence-continuum, Cleveland 

Public Theatre, Cleveland and Ohio Shakespeare Festivals, and others. 

His play <i>Cocopelli</i> was produced as part of Ensemble Theater's Colombi New Works Festival last March. His play <i>Broken Wings</i> has

 received public readings at Dark Room, Notre Dame College, and CPT's 

Springboard Series. Shorter works of his have been produced at Dobama
