The 2nd Sunday of every month from June through September there will be
FREE swing dancing at the Cleveland museum of art! (rain or shine) <br> <br> The weather will be beautiful on Sunday! 70s and sunny!<br><span class="text_exposed_show"> <br> Dancing begins at 11am and goes until 2pm. We have the okay to go until 3pm if people want to dance longer.<br> <br> Sunday, August 11th<br> Sunday, September 8th<br> <br>
Adam Brozowski from NYC and Dani Dowler from Get Hep Swing will provide
a short yet easy and fun dance lesson from 12-12:30. The basic
footwork pattern for Jitterbug will be taught in addition to a new move
or two each month. Each month's lesson will be unique and exciting. No
need to bring a partner or to have any previous dance experience.
There will be lots of seasoned swing dancers at the event to show you
the ropes. Don't be shy, if you see someone dancing ask them to help
you! They will do so happily! They would also love to dance with you!<br> <br>
DJs will play a variety of tunes suitable for swing dancing including
some of your favorite jazz, jump blues, big band, trad jazz, gypsy jazz,
do wop, soul, R & B, early rock and roll and modern music too. <br> <br> Adam, Troy Kozee and Ken Talley will be the DJs for this event!<br> <br>
If the weather is nice (not raining) we will be dancing outside in the
area called the South Terrace. It is overlooking the lagoon. If there
is rain, we will be dancing in the atrium. (See photos below and note
the dance surface so that you can bring appropriate dance shoes) <br> <br>
You are allowed to bring empty drink bottles but not beverages into the
museum. They also have a very nice cafe where you can buy a meal,
snack or get a drink. Bring your sunscreen and sunglasses! :)<br> <br> The Cleveland Museum of Art is located at 11150 East Boulevard, Cleveland, Ohio 44106. 216-421-7350<br> <br> There is a paid parking lot behind the museum and street parking is also available. <br> <br> The second Sundays of the month are also Family Days at the museum.
