that one of the crew responsible for the graphic bloodletting lives right here
in lovely Lakewood, OH.</DIV>

<DIV>Alan Tuskes, makeup effects veteran with a quarter of a century, was part
of a last minute effects team when the practical effects guy (pyro, effects
rigging. etc) who also was to handle the makeup effects, started running into
trouble with his gags. One of the producers had worked with Lino Stavole on a
project before, who in turn called Alan on a Thursday night, trying to see if he
could be in Missouri on Friday. Well, Alan showed up on Sunday with his makeup
kit, some prosthetic molds that he borrowed from The Creature Corps, and went to
work. </DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>For the next 3 weeks, Lino, A.J. Venuto and Alan pulled all sorts of mayhem
out of their magic hat, with Alan doing the majority of the makeup applications.
Some of the most gruesome images in the film were created on the fly, in under
half an hour, much to the delight of the producers.</DIV>
