The play is an exquisite family drama anchored by the ageing Southern belle Amanda Wingfield, who hopes for her son Tom to fulfill her dreams of finding the perfect “gentleman caller” for her daughter Laura, who has a debilitating limp and a fearful insecurity about the outside world. Tom works in a warehouse doing his best to support them. He escapes his banal existence by spending most of his spare time at the movies. Jimmie Woody, the acclaimed director of <i>Joe Turner’s Come and Gone</i> and <i>The Colored Museum</i>, stages <i>The Glass Menagerie</i>. </span></div></div></body></html>
