as East Coast Swing or just Swing. We will dance to a variety of styles
of music including big band swing, early rock & roll, blues and R
& B! You will learn the basic footwork pattern and how to lead and
follow a fun mix of spins and turns in open and closed position.
Learning to swing dance is a great way to meet people and<span class="text_exposed_show"> get some exercise too! <br> <br> This class is appropriate for students with and without partners of 10 years old and up. <br> <br> We will rotate partners during the lessons. <br> <br> You do NOT need a partner to take these classes.<br> <br> # Classes: 5<br> <br> Length: 1 hr.<br> <br> Time: 7:00 to 8:00 pm.<br> <br> Date: Monday, September 9th until October 7th, 2013<br> <br> Location: BCA dance studio (lower level) <br> <br> Instructor: Valerie Salstrom and other teachers from Get Hep Swing<br> <br> Course fee: Individuals $50, Couples $80<br> <br>
If you have taken this class at BCA before you may repeat it for only
$25. It is very common for students to repeat this class at least twice
if not three times. You may take both the beginner and the
intermediate Jitterbug classes during the same session. If you are
taking the class for the second time at the reduced fee you will still
need to let BCA know you are attending but you can pay at the first
