 <br> <strong>COVER ART CONTEST</strong>:

 Paint, draw, photograph, or composite as you re-imagine the cover of 

your favorite teen title! All submissions will be on display in the New 

Book Room of the Main Library through October. Art deadline: Friday, Oct. 11, 9:00 p.m. Viewing and Awards: Thursday, Oct. 17, 7:00 p.m. in the Main Library Auditorium.    WRITING CONTEST:

 Submit your creative short story about zombies – two thousand words or 

less – and we’ll post it on our webpage for public voting. Submissions 

will be compiled into a booklet for participants to keep. <strong>Story deadline: Monday, Oct. 7, 9:00 p.m.</strong> <strong>Winners announced Friday, Oct. 18, 7:00 p.m. in the Main Library Multipurpose Room.</strong></p>

<strong>CITY-WIDE ZOMBIE DEFENSE PLAN</strong>: <span style="font-size:12pt;line-height:115%;font-family:"Times New Roman","serif";color:black">Teens! It’s up to you to save your city! Join us for a brainstorming

session to develop the City of Lakewood’s (un)official Zombie Apocalypse

Defense Plan and Strategy. Help your city prepare for the worst and discuss the

many potential variables of the (possibly) impending outbreak. Registration is
