<p>CVLT presents a pair of hilarious holiday monologues for one
man and one woman from best-selling humorist David Sedaris,
adapted by Joe Mantello.</p>
<p><strong>The Santaland Diaries:</strong> One very twisted,
irreverent, witty and funny monologue about an out-of-work
actor who takes a job as one of Santa's elves at Macy's in New
York. One male, any ethnicity, age range 20's to 50's.
Prepared comedic monologues will be appreciated but not
required. We will be reading from the script. Bring your best
disgruntled elf self to this audition! </p>
<p><strong>Season's Greetings: </strong>A woman prepares her
family's holiday letter to be sent to friends and family.
There's nothing unusual about this family, except that this
year Khe Sahn has turned up on their doorstep. A surprise to
everyone, the unknown daughter of the husband from his stint
in Vietnam, her English is limited to "Daddy", "Shiny" and "5
dollar now." A dry, funny monologue for one woman, any
ethnicity, age range 40 to 60. Prepared comedic monologues
appreciated but not required.</p>
