November 15^th at 7:30pm at Church of the Saviour in Cleveland Heights for <i style><u>Songs of Life and Love</u>. </i></b>This <b style><u><span style="text-transform:uppercase">free
concert</span></u><span style="font-variant:small-caps"> </span></b>is part of <b style>Arts in the Cathedral’s </b>annual concert
series.</span><span style="font-size:14pt;font-family:Calibri"><span style>  </span></span><span style="font-size:12pt;font-family:Calibri">Church of the Saviour is located at 2537 Lee Road in Cleveland Heights, one block north of Fairmount Boulevard.<span style>  </span>The church has free parking and is
handicapped-accessible.</span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="line-height:17pt"><b style><i style><u><span style="font-size:12pt;font-family:Calibri">Songs of Life and Love</span></u></i></b><span style="font-size:12pt;font-family:Calibri"> is a <i style>Time Traveler’s Musical Journey</i> through Western Europe and the Americas.
The adventure begins with Dowland in Renaissance England at the Court of King James
I and sails into the Baroque Period of Monteverdi’s Italy.<span style>  </span>No European voyage would be complete without
the 20th century pastorale songs of Britten, and the flare of </span><span style="font-size:12pt;font-family:Calibri">de Falla’s
<i style>Canciones Populares Españolas</i>.<span style>  </span></span><span style="font-size:12pt;font-family:Calibri">Cross the Atlantic into Central and South America where
you’ll hear the haunting and beautiful sounds of Haiti
and Brazil with songs by
Haitian composer Frantz Casséus, Brazilian Guitarist/Arranger Laurindo Almeida
and Brazil’s
best known and beloved composer Heitor Villa-Lobos.</span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><b><i><span style="font-size:8pt;font-family:Calibri;color:black"> </span></i></b></p>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="line-height:17pt"><b><i><span style="font-size:12pt;font-family:Calibri;color:black">Diane & Brian- Soprano, Guitar Duo</span></i></b><span style="font-size:12pt;font-family:Calibri;color:black"> performs throughout Northeast
 Ohio, presenting a variety of music from lute songs to popular
songs of the big band era. They have been featured on several programs for the <i>Cleveland
Classical Guitar Society</i>, including their <b>Virtuoso Showcase Concert </b>and
<b><i>Local Artists and</i></b> <b><i>Rising Stars Series</i></b>.<span style>  </span>The duo has also performed on the Kent State
University Stark Campus <b><i>Guest Artist Recital Series</i></b>, the <b><i>Tuesday
Musical Series</i></b> in Fairview
 Park, and the <b><i>Music
and Fine Arts Concert Series</i></b><i> </i>at First Baptist Church of Greater
Cleveland. In December <b><i>Diane & Brian</i></b> will present <b style><i>Carols from Around</i> <i>the World </i></b>at
Plymouth Church
in Shaker Heights.</span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:8pt"> </span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="line-height:17pt"><span style="font-size:12pt;font-family:Calibri;color:black">Soprano <b><i>Diane Julin Menges</i></b> enjoys an active concert
and recital schedule throughout Northeast Ohio.
Most recently she was featured at Severance Hall in Beethoven’s <i>Choral
Fantasy </i>with Martin Kessler<i> </i>and the<i> Suburban Symphony </i><span style>and in</span> January 2014 Ms. Menges will
be in Chagrin Falls with Pianist David Robison performing <i>All-American;</i>
a program of American art song, opera, and musical film/theater.</span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:8pt;font-family:Calibri;color:black"> </span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="line-height:17pt"><span style="font-size:12pt;font-family:Calibri;color:black"><span style> </span>Guitarist <b><i>Brian Kozak </i></b>holds
degrees in Classical Guitar Performance from the Cleveland Institute of Music
and Baldwin-Wallace
 College. <span style> </span>Mr. Kozak has been featured as a solo
performer at Capital University, Kent State University and Lorain County
 Community College as well
as ensemble performances with <i>Red (an orchestra),</i> the <i>Baldwin-Wallace
Motet Choir</i>, the <i>Lorain County Civic Orchestra</i> and the <i>Lakeland
Civic Orchestra</i>. He enjoys a variety of musical styles performing with Latin
American, jazz, pop and rock ensembles and teaches in Tri-C Metro’s Jazz
Studies Program.</span></p>
