held Wednesday and Thursday, January 8 and 9 at 7 p.m at Bellevue Society for the Arts, 205 Maple Street, Bellevue. Wednesday’s auditions will be held in the School of the Arts building located at the front of the parking lot. Thursday’s auditions will be

Truvy’s local-homegrown beauty salon, six very different women come together to share their secrets, fears and love for one another while engaging the audience in hysterical and neighborly gossip.<br>

>From weddings to divorces, babies to funerals, new beginnings to happy endings, they share each moment in their lives with grace, determination, and perfectly coiffed hair.<br>

When tragedy strikes, it is in the familiar comfort of Truvy’s salon where they seek the solace and support that carries them through.<br>

Available roles (playable ages) include:<br>

• Truvy Jones (late 30s) wise-cracking owner of the beauty shop;<br>
• Annelle Dupuy-Desoto (late teens–20s) Truvy’s simple, yet enigmatic, assistant;<br>
• Clairee Belcher (mid 40s) widow of the former mayor, a wealthy Grande Dame;<br>
• Shelby Eatenton-Latcherie (20s) sweet, smart and stubbornly independent;<br>
• M’Lynn Eatenton (mid 40s) Shelby’s mother, a socially prominent career woman;<br>
• Ouiser Boudreaux (mid 50s) a wealthy curmudgeon. Acerbic but loveable.<br>

Those auditioning will be asked to read from the script.<br>

STEEL MAGNOLIAS will be presented February 21, 22, 28 and March 1. It will be directed by Monica Siesel, Bellevue. It is produced by special arrangement with Dramatists Play Service, Inc.</span></div>
