<br>For many years I have wanted to do an album paying tribute to the bands that
I grew up listening to in the Detroit area. There were the Bigger acts like Ted
Nugent, Grand Funk, Iggy Pop, Bob Seger, & Alice Cooper, and the Bands who had
National success, just no the household name to go along with it, like the MC5 and
the Rockets and even some great bands that never broke out of the D but were influential
just the same, like Frigid Pink. <br />
<br />
I was lucky enough to reconnect with a Guitar player from the area where I grew up
Ed Heisler who is now living in Scotsdale AZ. He also has an appreciation of this
music, and with the help of David raymer and Scott Connor of Nevermet, we completed
our first track and are now looking to muster up a little support for the project.
When I say support, I dont mean financially at least at this point, but rather interest
in the music itself. Please take a listen to the song The Motor City's Burning,
originally written and recorded by legendary Detroit Blues Man John Lee Hooker,
then later recorded by the MC5. Ii think we've done a nice job on this song,
and hope that people show enough interest that we can confidently continue with
a full album of this type of Material. <br />
