<p class="NoParagraphStyle">Auditions are open to everyone, including students and community persons, and will be held in the theatre of the Fine Arts Building, 6000 Frank Avenue NW in Jackson Township.

<p class="NoParagraphStyle">In Theresa Rebeck’s theatrical thriller, an arrogant television executive faced with dwindling ratings hires America’s favorite news anchor to host a popular reality show. Meanwhile, a TV addict with an unhealthy obsession for her
teeters on the edge as tensions in his house rise and explode into a drama that holds the nation riveted. Filled with comedic satire,
<i>Our House</i> examines a culture that is fascinated with transforming sobering crisis into sexy entertainment.

<p class="NoParagraphStyle">Roles are available for four men and three women. Those auditioning have the choice of working from sides (selected scene excerpts) or they may perform a prepared monologue. The director may also choose sides for people. For specific

<p class="NoParagraphStyle">The production will be performed from April 4 – 13, 2014 in the Kent State Stark Theatre. Rehearsals commence on February 17, and will take place five evenings a week until opening.

<p class="NoParagraphStyle">Scripts (and audition sides or scene excerpts used for the auditions) are available for perusal for periods up to 24 hours from the secretary (330-244-5151) of the Fine Arts Building, Monday through Friday, during business hours
(8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.). Audition appointments are recommended, but not required. Scripts and audition sides will also be available in the reserve area of the Stark Campus Library.
