and amusing lyrics by Marshall Barer, <i>Once
Upon A Mattress</i> is the story of ‘The Princess and the Pea’ – only better.
In fact, it wasn't the pea that caused the princess a sleepless night at all.
This hilarious and raucous, romantic and melodic, rollicking spin on the
familiar classic of royal courtship and comeuppance provides for some
side-splitting shenanigans. You'll never look at fairy tales quite the same way
again.</font></p>
<p class="ecxMsoNormal"><font size="4">Director Ian Atwood, who brought <i>Oklahoma</i> to life on the MGP stage in 2013, has assembled a
stand-out cast led by <span class="ecxusercontent">Douglas
F. Bailey as the Minstrel; Brittany-Jade Colangelo as Princess Winnifred;
Matthew Cuffari as the Wizard, Amanda Isula as Lady Larkin; Kristen
Jones-Schmittgen as Queen Aggravain; Grace Penzvalto as the Nightingale; Jerry
Popiel as King Sextimus; Luke Scattergood as Prince Dauntless; and Steven
Schuerger as the Jester.</span></font></p>
