<p>The Pulitzer and Tony Award-winning <em>Clybourne Park</em> is playwright Bruce Norris' response to the classic play
<em>A Raisin in the Sun</em>. <em>Clybourne</em>, in turn, prompted <em>Beneatha's Place,
</em>noted writer-director Kwame Kwei-Armah's response to his perception that <em>
Clybourne</em> perpetuates "the connotation… that whites build and blacks destroy." Mirroring the structure of
<em>Clybourne Park, </em>but following <em> </em>the restless intellectual Beneatha Younger of
<em>A Raisin in the Sun</em>, this new play gives her a new life and path far beyond that iconic Chicago living room, following her from 1959 Nigeria to a career at a California University in 2009.
