to hold scholarship auditions</b><br>

</span></b><b>VOCI SCHOLARSHIP AUDITIONS<br>
</b>Auditions for VOCI scholarships will be held on <b>Sunday,
June 8 at 2:00pm at Cable Recital Hall in the Cultural Center
for the Arts</b>, 1001 Market Ave North, Canton, Ohio. <b>Those
wishing to audition must reserve their space by filling out an
audition form and return it to the VOCI office by June 3, 2014</b>,
along with a photo and a $25 entry fee. Forms are available at the
VOCI office, and online at <a moz-do-not-send="true"
href="http://www.voicesofcanton.org">http://www.voicesofcanton.org</a>.
No walk-ins will be permitted at auditions.<br>
<br>
Auditioners must come prepared with one memorized classical art
song or aria, not to exceed 5 minutes. High School students may
not sing operatic arias unless they are found in 17th or 18th
century Italian song collections. They must bring three copies of
their music and their own accompanist.<br>

<b><span style="color:black">VOCI SCHOLARSHIPS</span></b><br>
Since 1956 (over 55 years), VOCI has awarded vocal music
scholarships to talented high school and college students pursuing
a degree in music education or performance, and adults who never
pursued a degree in music. This June, <b>VOCI will give $5,500 in

<b>ABOUT VOCI</b><br>
Voices of Canton, Inc. (VOCI) has been performing since 1939.
Currently VOCI is artistically directed by Loren Veigel. Under
Loren Veigel's direction VOCI performed with internationally
renowned organist Hector Olivera, raised fund for various
charities, and toured to Columbus, Ohio, to sing at the Statehouse
and to Cleveland and Akron to perform at professional baseball
games. Recently, VOCI performed concerts during a tour to
Scotland and England.<br>

VOCI's mission is to celebrate music for the human voice through
performance, using its power as a catalyst within the community to
educate, inspire and unite.<b> </b>Voices of Canton is funded in
part by the Ohio Arts Council and Arts in Stark.<br>
