Music is an essential tool for the improvisational performer.  Not only <br>does music enhance the scene as it's being created, it also blazes new <br>pathways to be explored by the actors within these scenes.   <br>

The first class in this series will prepare the student to begin:<br>- understanding pace and meter of music<br>- feeling comfortable rhyming with other performers<br>- learning to trust instincts when making choices<br>
- understanding different styles of music<br>- working with music in improvised scene work<br><br>
Requirements:<br>Prior improvisational comedy training and or performance is required.  No <br>musical background is needed.<br><br>

Instructor: Mike Bloom<br>Mike Bloom has dabbled in musical improvisation for more than 25 years, <br>serving as Musical Director for The Second City Northwest, the Second City National Touring Company, and Giant Portions Improvisational Comedy Company (Cleveland); as well as accompanist for the Annoyance Theater (Coed Prison Sluts, Screw Puppies, Abe Lincoln Sex Alien) Second City Mainstage (Piñata full of Bees) and IO Theater in Chicago. His non-musical roles have included working as a Writer for Second City Communications and Producer for The Second City Cleveland.
