Musical is one singular sensation: A Chorus Line</h2>
<p style="font-size:10pt; font-weight:normal;font-family:
arial, sans-serif; color:#000000;" align="left">CHAGRIN
FALLS, OH - A CHORUS LINE, conceived and originally
choreographed and directed by Michael Bennett, with a book
by James Kirkwood and Nicholas Dante, music by Marvin
Hamlisch and lyrics by Edward Kleban, is a juggernaut of
American musical theatre. After opening on Broadway in
1975, the show won the Pulitzer Prize for Drama, nine Tony
Awards (including Best Musical, Score and Book) and the
New York Drama Critics Circle Award. It ran for nearly 15
years, closing on April 28, 1990 after a record-setting
6,137 performances. Chagrin Valley Little Theatre brings
this classic to its main stage from July 18 to August 16.

<p style="font-size:10pt; font-weight:normal;font-family:
arial, sans-serif; color:#000000;" align="left">A CHORUS
LINE shares the story of a group of ambitious dancers
competing for 8 coveted spots in the chorus of a Broadway
musical. Through the audition they bare their souls while
sharing stories of their childhood, ambitions, fears, and
experiences in show business. Breaking from the standard
Broadway narratives of the time, A CHORUS LINE's formula
of monologues and songs could be seen as the precursor to
the reality TV shows of today. The songs, including "What
I Did For Love," "One," "Nothing," "Dance: Ten Looks:
Three," and "I Can Do That," have become Broadway
standards. </p>
