Okay, so none of the cast members of <i>SHOUT! The Mod Musical</i> -- now being
presented at Western Reserve Playhouse -- were even born when the songs they
sing were hits. And not one of the five actress-performers are from England.
And these contemporary ladies would never be caught dead in the dated

<i>SHOUT! The Mod Musical</i> is a perfect summertime escape for anyone
who loves music, memories, and nostalgia. Like an all-girl episode of <i>Laugh-In</i>,
the psychedelic trip through time touches on such diverse subjects as advice
columns, feminism, and Paul McCartney.</span><span style='font-family: "Helvetica","sans-serif"; font-size: 14pt; mso-fareast-font-family: "Times New Roman";'><br>

The song list tells you right away you are in for an even of classic pop songs,

“Downtown,” and “Son of a Preacher Man.” But there is plenty of humor and just
enough heart in the book by Phillip George and David Lowenstein to elevate the

MaryBeth G. Hobson -- take viewers through each year of the decadent decade
through music, dance, and comedic interludes. Their slyly seductive
harmonies blend together with the terrific threesome on the bandstand, under
the guidance of musical director John Ebner. Vintage voice work is provided by
