meihua, has long been a subject of fascination for painters, poets, and composers. On Saturday, August 9, the <span class="" id="yiv4783635914yui_3_16_0_6_1406251111381_65" style="font-weight: bold;">Cleveland Chinese Music Ensemble</span>, Northeast Ohio's traditional Chinese orchestra, will present a multimedia program of Chinese classical and folk music, interspersed with readings of classical Chinese poems on the theme of this beloved and timeless symbol. The event will take place at the Nordonia Hills Branch Library, a branch of the Akron-Summit County Public Library system.</div><div class="" id="yiv4783635914yui_3_16_0_6_1406251111381_67" style="background-color: transparent;"><br clear="none" class="" style=""></div><div class="" id="yiv4783635914yui_3_16_0_6_1406251111381_69" style="background-color: transparent;">The 7-member ensemble will perform on traditional wind, string, and percussion instruments, including <span class=""
style="font-style: italic;">dizi</span> and <span class="" style="font-style: italic;">xiao</span> (bamboo flutes), <span class="" style="font-style: italic;">bili</span> and <span class="" style="font-style: italic;">suona</span> (oboes), <span class="" style="font-style: italic;">sheng</span> (mouth organ), <span class="" style="font-style: italic;">erhu</span>, <span class="" style="font-style: italic;">gaohu</span>, <span class="" style="font-style: italic;">yehu</span>, and <span class="" style="font-style: italic;">dahu</span> (fiddles), <span class="" style="font-style: italic;">pipa</span> and <span class="" style="font-style: italic;">yueqin</span> (lutes), <span class="" style="font-style: italic;">guqin</span> (7-string zither), <span class="" style="font-style: italic;">guzheng</span> (21-string zither), gongs, drums, and other
