<p><b><b><font face="Times New Roman" size="3"><span style="font-size:12pt">ABOUT
THE SHOW</span></font></b></b></p>
<p><i><i><font face="Times New Roman" size="3"><span style="font-size:12pt">4000 Miles</span></font></i></i>
is set in present-day New York. After suffering a major loss while he was on a
cross-country bike trip, 21-year-old Leo seeks solace from his feisty
91-year-old grandmother Vera in her West Village apartment. Over the course of
a single month, these unlikely roommates infuriate, bewilder, and ultimately
reach other. <i><span style="font-style:italic">4000 Miles</span></i> looks at how two
outsiders find their way in today’s world.</p>
<p><i><font face="Times New Roman" size="3"><span style="font-size:12pt;font-style:italic">4000
Miles</span></font></i> first opened at the Duke Theatre in New York City on
June 20, 2011, presented by Lincoln Center Theatre/LCT3, and played for a
limited run before closing July 9, 2011. The production was nominated for the <span>2012 Off Broadway Alliance Award for<b><span style="font-weight:bold"> </span></b></span>Best New Play and it won three Obie
Awards (including one for Best New American Play). The production then
transferred to the Mitzi E. Newhouse Theater at Lincoln Center, where it opened
on April 2, 2012 and ran through July 1, 2012. The play was a finalist for the
2013 Pulitzer Prize for Drama.</p>
<p><b><b><font face="Times New Roman" size="3"><span style="font-size:12pt">ABOUT
THE REHEARSALS</span></font></b></b></p>
<p><font face="Times New Roman" size="3"><span style="font-size:12pt">Rehearsals
begin Sunday, Oct. 5, 2014. Typically, rehearsals will be Sundays through
Thursdays from 7 to 10 p.m. p.m. depending on Playhouse availability and
actors’ conflicts/preferences. Here are the “must” dates for those cast in the
show:<span> </span></span></font><i><i><font face="Times New Roman"><span>4000 Miles</span></font></i></i> will play for 10 performances in
Weathervane's Dietz Theater stage between Nov 5 and 15, 2014. The performance
days and times during this two-week period are Wednesdays and Thursdays at 7:30
p.m., Friday and Saturdays at 8 p.m., one Saturday matinee (Nov. 15) at 2:30
p.m. and <u>one</u> Sunday matinee (Nov. 9) at 2:30 p.m.</p>
